Clubs and Extracurricular Activities

Students can enjoy this fun, welcoming group where students can practice together, learn new songs, and grow as musicians. The mission is to build confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of music.

Students display their physical creativity through a team sport. To become a member of the basketball team, students must complete a “tryout” process where passing, dribbling and shooting skills will be assessed. Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average in both academics and conduct the semester before the season begins. They are required to remain eligible to play during the basketball season. All team members must also exhibit excellent sportsmanship.

Meeting Dates: JV- Mondays/Thursdays & Varsity-Tuesdays/Fridays @ 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

To become a member of the cheerleading teams, students must complete a “tryout” process where tumbling, cheer jumps, partner stunts, dancing, and showmanship skills will be assessed. Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average in both academics and conduct the semester before the season begins. They are required to remain eligible to cheer year-round. All team members must also exhibit excellent sportsmanship.

FFEA provides a platform for students to participate in experiences that develop qualities and skills essential for future teachers. They can gain insights into the profession, interact with educators, and see if it aligns with their aspirations. It can be a stepping stone to a fulfilling career in education or simply provide valuable life skills for any future path they choose.

The goal of the Mental Health Club is to provide a safe place where students can discuss anything they want without being judged or questioned. Some previously discussed topics: the purpose of the club, the importance of Mental Health, how to improve our mental health and we wrote positive affirmations to remind us of the importance of staying positive and believing in ourselves.

NJHS recognizes and rewards students for their academic excellence, fostering a sense of pride and accomplishments to motivate students to maintain high academic standards.  and leadership. It provides students with the opportunity to develop leadership skills, engage in meaningful service, and build strong character, all while preparing them for a bright future. Teacher recommendation is required.

Students benefit from a well-rounded experience that benefits students physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. It fosters a healthy lifestyle, builds self-confidence, and equips students with valuable skills that extend beyond the running track. Students participate in local kid-friendly marathons.

Safety patrol is a group of responsible and dependable student leaders who serve as role models for their peers. They are committed to promoting a safe and respectful school environment by consistently following all school rules and encouraging others to do the same. Safety patrol members prioritize the safety of all students by being alert, proactive, and taking initiative in their daily duties. They strive to earn the respect of fellow students through their helpfulness, positive attitude, and strong sense of responsibility. As visible examples of good citizenship, Safety Patrol members play an important role in supporting a safe and welcoming school community.

Student council is an elected student organization that serves as a voice for the student body, representing their ideas and concerns to school administration. Its primary functions include organizing school-wide activities, developing leadership and citizenship skills for its members, fostering a positive school environment, and acting as a liaison between students, staff, and the community.

Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average in both academics and conduct the semester before the season begins. They are required to remain eligible to play during the volleyball season. All team members must also exhibit excellent sportsmanship qualities before, during and after games.

WEBT Morning News Crew is a group of creative and responsible students who help produce our daily morning announcements. They take on roles such as anchors, scriptwriters, computer technicians, and camera operators. Together, they plan and deliver fun, informative segments that highlight school events, weather, birthdays, sports, and special celebrations. Our goal is to inform, connect, and inspire our school community while helping students build confidence, leadership, and communication skills. The team takes pride in starting each morning on a positive note and promoting school spirit at EBT!
